A good API is understandable, documented, testable and consistent with client usage. I work on contract design, endpoint structure, error handling, security and integration with existing systems.

I can work on existing or new backend services: business logic, asynchronous processing, data synchronization, connectors, API exposure or consolidation of an overly fragile system.
Reliability and operations
A backend is not finished when it works locally. It has to be observable, testable, deployable and maintainable. I factor those constraints in from the design stage to reduce production risk.
